The Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. is the planned giving and endowment arm of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey. Formerly the Bequest and Endowment Fund, the Foundation was created in 1979 to develop resources needed to ensure the future vitality of the Jewish community encompassing Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties. It serves the Jewish Federation and its family of agencies, as well as area synagogues and organizations. With funds of more than $22 million, the Foundation is growing in stature as the central address for the philanthropic and estate planning needs for members of our community.

• To assist individuals and families in achieving their philanthropic goals in an efficient manner
• To develop Community and Legacy Endowment Funds which will form a permanent base of support for our local community, agencies and programs
• To work with professionals in the areas of estate, tax and financial planning to provide the most current information pertinent to charitable giving.

How JCF, Inc. Operates

The Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. is governed by a 27 member Board of Trustees. The Trustees represent a diverse cross-section of the community in a variety of fields and professions. The Board consists of five committees: Acceptance & Investment, Development, Grants & Distribution, Marketing and Professional Advisory. All funds of the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. are prudently invested with Wall Street money managers and brokerage houses. The Board of Trustees of The Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. approves all investments based upon the recommendations of the Acceptance and Investment Committee. Investment guidelines have been approved and adopted by the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees sets policies and oversees all of The Foundation's activities. The Foundation is professionally managed by Jeff Klein, Executive Director.
